The XOS PlayAction group of products leverages the popularity of video games with today's athletes to provide coaching staffs with a more modern and effective method for training players. Through a partnership with EA Sports, XOS has created a process by which teams can import the diagrams they are already using to create playbooks and game plans in a 3-D environment. Essentially, players can simulate real game situations via a video game interface.
Instead of simply playing a video game for enjoyment, the XOS PlayAction Simulator enables an athlete to play a game as a method for testing and training prior to upcoming on-field action. For example, a quarterback using the new tool can practice reading a defense, picking up blitzes and making quick decisions on where to throw the ball; all based on the tendencies of the team he is going to play the upcoming weekend.
